Berlin: una ciudad #dogfriendly | Berlin: a #dogfriendly city

English translation below

Berlin is a city steeped in ancient and very recent history.

I leave you a selection of what I think you will most enjoy with dogs:

🌳 Tiergarten: it is the green lung of the city and the main park in Berlin. Located in the center of the city, it has also been a district of this city since 2001. It has 210 ha and is framed by symbols of the city such as the Brandenburg Gate, the parliamentary and government district with the Reichstag building (German parliament) and the Federal Chancellery, the Bellevue Palace (palace of the President of the Republic) or the Potsdamer Platz.

🚪 Brandenburg Gate: it is located in the current center of the city, in the Place de Paris, at the end of the avenue Unter den Linden and marking the beginning of the great Tiergarten park

🎨 Berlin Wall / East Side Gallery: is an open-air art gallery located on a 1,316-meter section on the east side of the Berlin Wall, which was not demolished for this purpose. It is located near the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district, along the River Spree. It is considered to be the longest open-air art gallery in the world.

📺 Alexanderplatz and its TV tower: The Berlin TV Tower -in German “Berliner Fernsehturm” – is a broadcasting tower, located on Alexanderplatz and built in 1969 by the defunct German Democratic Republic (GDR). Her image has since been used by the GDR government as a symbol of East Berlin.

✈️ Tempelhof: it is an old airport transformed into green areas to walk and visit with dogs!

🌲 Grunewald: It is a forest area with lakes and areas for the dogs to be loose. Teufelsberg, an artificial hill made from WWII rubble and a Cold War wiretap that now offers guided tours.

The city is full of cool places and restaurants, all dog friendly (and obviously cat friendly).

There are many very interesting museums, but as always, dogs are not suitable.

🚌 Public Transportation: They have an incredible transportation network. You can travel the city from end to end combining bus, tram, s-bahn and u-bahn, all suitable for dogs. They must wear a collar, leash and pay a child ticket (approx. € 1.40).

🛎 Hotels: there are many friendly 🐕🐈 options. I stayed at @meininger_hotels and I highly recommend it. I was able to go with Frida and Mecha and they welcomed us very well. There are all over Europe, they are usually very well located and the prices are excellent!
